Charnos Celebrates 75 years
01/08/2010
In March, Charnos Lingerie was invited to attend a party held at the Natural History Museum, to celebrate 75years of the Charnos Brand. The Charnos brand was founded in 1936 by Charles Henry Noskwith (Char...Nos!) who had a unique passion for high quality raw materials, new technologies in yarns and knitting manufacturing techniques - making innovation the heart of the family business ethos. This ethos stuck and when the business embraced lingerie in 1958, as a natural extension to it's hosiery business, the brand developed a unique place in the hearts of women across the country, responding to their needs and delivering exquisitely designed yet highly functional products to support them throughout their day and throughout their lives. This was celebrated this year with a terrific party and catwalk show, with the Natural History Museum as a backdrop. The son and indeed Chairman of the Charnos Brand until his retirement attended the party with his wife, both of whom still live locally to the businesses that manage the Charnos brand today - and they were thrilled to see the life and verve felt by both those managing the brands today and of those wearing the brands today!
